JUNEAU, Alaska — An Alaska Senate panel is slated to consider a resolution opposing the Obama administration's executive actions on gun control.
Sen. Fred Dyson is the primary sponsor of SJR6, which urges President Barack Obama to refrain from any further actions that would restrict the ownership of firearms. It also asks Congress to make sure that the Second Amendment is protected from any executive actions that might circumvent it. The resolution refers to the Second Amendment as "our most fundamental right."
The measure is set to be heard by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday.
On a personal note, this is my 3,000th post, in just under five years. Regular readers will note I've tried to quit several times, with obvious lack of success.
Looks like you're stuck with me.

Congrats on the 3000!
I just hit 1000 in just about 3 years. I'd need to double my post number to catch up. Ain't gonna happen.
And we are better for your lack of willpower, Sir. :)

Thank you, Guffaw. The on-line friends I've made via this blog are what keeps me coming back for more.

Keep on, keep on! I love the weird police blotter entries. You have much more interesting calls than we have here.
