Lindner passes Mackey, zeroes in on halfway prize of $3,000 in gold

WEDNESDAY 2 PM UPDATE:

Sonny Lindner appears to want the $3,000 in gold more than Lance Mackey.

The 63-year-old Iditarod veteran passed Mackey's resting dogs at about the halfway point of the 80-mile run from Ophir to Iditarod.
