Temporary Reprieve

Okay, we got ten or eleven inches of the white stuff yesterday, and AccuHunch tried to scare everybody by predicting another heavy snow overnight.

Didn't happen.

Now they say it's just a break between systems, and they're calling another 12" to 18" beginning tomorrow.

Ah, well, summer's coming.  Eventually ...  :^)

Ouch. That's alot of snow.

Preppy, we've had worse. Back in '08, we got 27" of snow on April 27th (which makes it easy to remember). Biggest problem then was that nearly everyone had removed their snow tires already, and the roads had been clear & dry for three weeks prior.

Was kind of a rude awakening, but 18" is lot, no matter when it falls. At least the snow tires are still on the car. :)

Ouch... Too much snow, too much cold... And yeah, summer will show up for the 4th (of July) hopefully!

NFO, we seem to have two kinds of summer up here: rainy & 52, or sunny & 74. Don't need to tell you there are LOTS of folks praying for a sunny summer this year.

Rev. Paul,

True signs up there of summer eventually arriving!!!

The storms are heading easterly, we lucked out the weatherman said snow but there's no snow. Now it's rain with potential of tornadoes.

Sandy, in 4 (or is it 5?) of the last 7 years, we've had no summer to speak of: it remained cold, grey & rainy throughout, with highs only in the low- to mid-50s. The handful of sunny days didn't make enough difference. A warm, sunny summer would be awfully nice.

PH, there's no need to be cruel. ;^) Srsly though, I'm glad you're having nice weather. Somebody should, so it might as well be you.
