Not mine, but identical. |
Picked it up from the dealer's service bay last evening, and had little time to look it over. I realized on the way home that I had no idea where the headlight switch was, but found it on the stalk to the left of the steering wheel.
Transferred the get-home bag & tools from my wife's car into the back, put things in the center console or glove box, as appropriate. Gave away the 2" receiver hitch & wiring harness adapter, since Li'l Red tows much less than Big Green did. Pardon me whilst I wipe away a manly tear.
Okay, I'm done now.
So ... onward and upward. It sure feels good (but a little strange) to have my own transportation again, after three months of carpooling.
Y'all be good out there, and thanks for stopping by. I've got to read the owner's manual to see if I missed anything else.

Very cool!
So... less gas means more ammo, right? ;)
At the very least, Jenny. Maybe even Kaladi.
Rev. Paul,
I love your new SUV, you will save on the gas mileage with this vehicle.
Now get to reading!!!
And Enjoy:-)
Thanks, Sandy. It's a bit of culture shock, being about 1/3 of an Expedition, but the gas mileage is a huge plus. :^)
And the circle is compete once again. This makes me smile as it reminds me just how happy we all are that you're still here with us to share your triumphs and joys. And that merits an Amen from the congregation.
Thank you so much, Six. I'm a blessed man and I know it.
Now I've got to do something about the dust in my eyes.
Enjoy that Escape--they're neat. Almost bought one myself last year...Oh, and ditto to what Six said. It's a nicer world with you in it.
This. This is why I kept going with the blog, every time I wanted to quit. ML, what can I say but "thank you"?
A solid transportation piece, and it has a Ford heater for winter!
WSF, indeed. I only drive Fords (personal preference). Heater, block heater, remote auto-start, rear window defroster ... all the goodies this Alaskan wanted. :)
Good for you, and you'll read the manuals and STILL find 'stuff' that isn't written anywhere, 15 minutes after you leave the house... sigh
NFO, turns out the paperwork didn't include an owner's manual, so I'm reduced to exploring it myself, and looking up specs on-line.
Discovered yesterday that the in-dash CD player is a six-disk unit. Who knew? :)
