Doubling Down on Stupid Dept: "A second group of hikers have been rescued after trying to reach an abandoned city bus in the Alaska wilderness, which was made famous by a book and movie."
You may remember that three German hikers had to be airlifted away from "The Bus" back in May. Some people's doofidity* (with apologies to Bayou Renaissance Man) knows no bounds.
Warm Days Dept: Given the day's weather in the Lower 48, this won't impress anyone except Alaskans. Anchorage has set a record for the most number of days with temperatures of 70 degrees or higher in the month of June.
* i.e., the degree to which someone can be a doofus.
