FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A Fairbanks man looking for a piece of pie the day after Thanksgiving has been charged with felony burglary and assault.
Fairbanks police say 26-year-old Kyle David Wilcox unsuccessfully tried to talk an east Fairbanks apartment neighbor into sharing an apple pie, and after a fight broke out, both received minor stab wounds.
The man with the pie told police that Wilcox appeared to be drunk as he sought a piece of the pie and forced his way into the apartment with another man.
That must have been quite a pie!

Dang. I'm usually too stuffed with other stuff to want pie. Musta been a good one!
I hope it was worth it; he's going to go a good stretch without dessert, now. :)
It's an Alaskan crime report we knew the word "Drunk" was gonna be in there somewhere.
It didn't have to be there, but you'd have good odds on the inclusion, just the same.
Clearly, he was in search of spiritual enlightenment. He wanted to increase his pie-ty.
;-)
Peter wins the interwebz!
Pie-ty?! TWEET! Bad Pun! Five Yard Penalty!
It's okay, ML - it's what Peter does! :)
I'm pretty sure it would be appropriate for him to spend 3.14 years in jail. ;) Sorry, couldn't resist.
Well, sure, Teresa ... if you're gonna round off. :)
I don't make square pies... ;)
Exactly, T: cakes are square. :)
