Only in Alaska

The bride was lovely in white; the minister was outfitted in Xtra Tuffs

The lynx was more scared of the homeowner's dogs ...

Eagles on the golden arches in Eagle River (seems appropriate).

David Akeya stands with his children after landing a 57-foot bowhead whale in Savoonga, on the Western Alaska island of St. Lawrence

Looking for a quicker way across the lake?

I love these!

HOLY COW how do you land something like that from a beach? I am assuming that's how he did it. I can't imagine any reel holding enough line to give it room to run and play it.

Rev. Paul,

Yes.....only in Alaska!!! I love all of these pictures. My favorite, the bear checking out the jet ski.

Wouldn't black boots be more appropriate for a wedding?

Hopefully the Eagles took a nice crap on the sign of Liberalism.

NFO, I don't know who that was. It doesn't look muddy enough for boots in that shot, either.

Thanks, threecollie!

Preppy, they take the whales at sea & then drag them ashore using hand-lines & a large crew of villagers.

I like that one too, Sandy. Thanks!

WSF, you'd have thought so ... but Xtra Tuffs only come in brown. :)

More than likely, Senior. They do it on everything else!

Thanks, Cathy. Glad you liked 'em!

Get many outdoor weddings this time of year?

;-)

You'd be surprised, Borepatch. Mountaintops, glaciers, snowfields, on snowmachines (y'all call 'em snowmobiles, for some reason) ... on skis, on frozen lakes ... yes, we do a LOT of that!
