Snow Mist & Cookies (Updated)

That's what our current weather condition is called. It's tiny snowflakes, so thick that they look like fog. Driving conditions are sloppy at best, and visibility is poor because the little flakes swirl ever-so-well in the wake of each passing car.

I had to go out earlier, looking for warmer gloves. It seems I've come perilously close to frostbite a few too many times. My fingers no longer stay warm in gloves, unless I'm working really really hard, and have my heart pumping vigorously.

The roads were slippery, and visibility was poor. It hasn't gotten any better, since.

But we're done with our outings, and no one needs to leave home again today. That's a good thing.

My wife, bless her heart, is making Montana Spice cookies* ... and now it's time for some post-lunch coffee.

Wife made these (my first plate pictured)
... and Younger Daughter (the professional pastry chef) made these.

Anyone wanting a cup? Or cookies?  Or both?  :)

* It's an old recipe, handed down from my maternal grandmother - who probably got it from her mom.

Rev. Paul,

Be safe with that snow. I'm happy to hear everyone is in the house for the evening.

Yum, cookies, candy, and coffee!!!
Get out of my way boys (male blogger friends), those goodies are mine!!!

NFO, that would be nice, wouldn't it? :)

Sandy, 6" of snow (if we got that much) is only a dusting here; we're used to a lot more than that.

And as far as the goodies ... it's first come, first served, ma'am. Hurry!

Your hands sound like mine. Here is what I found that works well for me here in Minn. I stick my hands under hot water and warm them up before I start and have not had problems if I remember to do this first.

Blessed Christmas to you and yours.

Not a bad idea, Richard; thank you. And a very merry & blessed Christmas to you.

Guffaw, that's not much of a surprise. You have my sympathy, Bro.
