I've been looking back at the thousands of pictures we've taken since moving here, to make some enlargements for my office. These are some of my favorites.
All these images
should enlarge when you double-click them, but you know how Blogger can be. :)

Nice pics. I especially like the mountain ones. In regards to your earlier post when I was in Wisconsin and the ice started breaking up the bottom of lake Winnebago on the Fox river would have what they called the ice shove. All the sheets of ice would pack on top of each other until you have a literal mountain of ice sheets all cracking and tinking. It was really something to see. Ever get anything like that up there?
Yep. Happens every break-up (what y'all call Spring). The ice jams up on the Yukon River, among others, and has been taking out whole villages, the last few years.
Sure hope you have a ton of wall space!!! I would want one of each! Great pictures!
Thank you, ma'am! :)
In this amatuer's opinion, you have talent!
Excellent pictures. Heck, I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. Close your eyes and point....
Thank you, my friend. Although I have to admit it's hard to take a bad photo of Alaska. :)
I'm thinking maybe three of four of them, in slightly smaller size. I can't choose just one.
You live in one of the most majestic places in the world, I'm envious. Alaska is a beautiful, but dangerous place, that's why I like it.
Beautiful!
The whales, for 1st pick - then anything with mountains!
Wow!
*sigh*
:)
Breathtaking, Rev, simply magnificent.
(I do like your moose pictures best of all. Float planes are a close second!)
I concur, Senior - on all counts.
Thanks, Bob.
Thank you, PH. :^)
I know, Jenny. Someday, right?
Thanks, Sarge. Moose, mountains, floatplanes, weather ... what's not to like? :^)
You keep showing these pictures..
And I keep wanting to come back for another, longer visit..
Then my work here is done. :D
You're right! I DO like Alaska pictures and these are simply wonderful.
Thank you, ma'am! I'm glad you like them.
Very nice collection of photos. Makes me want to come back. And with your temps so much warmer than ours, I might even consider a winter trip! (Just kidding on that last. ;-) )
I hope you two do come back. Wouldn't count on winter being a lot warmer than elsewhere - it's a fluke ... or so we're all fondly hoping. :)
