Please say a prayer

for our friend Brigid, who lost her faithful companion today.

Barkley
July 11, 2003 - February 24, 2014

Brigid has been a friend to me and my family, and an encouragement to Younger Daughter in her quest to become a chef. She took the time to send personal notes, recipes, and shared pictures of Barkley with my daughter, who is now a professional chef.

Remember Brigid and her Partner as they mourn the loss of a family member.

My prayers are with this family so their beloved Barkley may go over the Rainbow bridge in peace.
I just lost a beloved kitty tonight, very old and special, may Snowball and Barkley find friendship and blessings over the bridge.

Prayers are sent.....

And if He won't allow dogs into Heaven, I'm not sure I want to go.......

Thank you both. And jim? I suspect that if having your dog is what you'd want, to be happy, then your dog will be there. I can't imagine Him denying His children anything they truly love in keeping with His word.

Thanks, Paul.

Although I only feel about 5% as bad as Brigid does right now, Dorothy and I have both experienced this same loss.

It's the sign of a wise person who can let their dear pet go, rather than prolong the suffering by keeping the poor animal alive just for their own comfort.

Thank you, NFO.

And denimflyz, I'm sorry I didn't address your loss. Cats can also be family, and I hope that Snowball is waiting for you, too.

A sad thing. I'll miss the Barkley stories.

Me, too, Sarge. He was a great dog!

Awww . . . . done. Keith and I know this pain. Awful.

What a lovely connection you have with Brigid.
Kindness to our children is the greatest gift a friend can give.

Thanks, Cathy. B's good people, was one of the very first to find my blog when I started, and this hurts almost as if he were our own dog.

The Love and respect shown to both
Barkley and Brigid has been most
touching.

Agreed, my friend. She's clearly touched many people, and is loved by the blogging community (among others).
