About the New Header
The picture of the moose by the mailboxes was taken yesterday afternoon. There was another, slightly smaller moose on the opposite side of the road, but the camera didn't do a good job of picking it out through all the northern birch.

Given a moose's generally low IQ, more likely it was wondering if the mailboxes are edible. :)

You snapped that picture!?
What a place: Alaska.
threecollie, one always checks the front yard for moose or bears before opening the door. Seriously.
Yes, Cathy. This time of year, there are some 1,200 moose inside the city limits, looking for munchies. :)
Rev. Paul . . would you check in on Marianne at Northviiew Diary? They're in a tough stretch the last day or so. Prayers needed. Thanks.
Of course, Cathy. Thanks for the heads-up.
