A video taken by Madison Makayla Lord in Old Crow, Yukon shows a herd of caribou taking a ride on an ice flow.

So they were doing the ice flow ride on purpose then?

Sort of, PP. They cross the river as part of their annual migration, and sometimes the ice breaks up while they're on it. Then they ride for awhile. :)

A free ride is a free ride... Beats swimming... :-)

One of the things on my bucket list is a Caribou hunt. I need to get off my duff and get this house done so I can put that money toward that hunt. I ain't getting any younger!

NFO ... truth!

Six ... none of us are. But you know what they say about a bad day hunting: still better than a good day doing anything else. :)
