URGENT CALL TO REPENTANCE: All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord. And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the Kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules among the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28)
NFO, that's probably what they'd do in normal situations, but the previous story mentioned that the mud is really deep there. Even the boom truck that rescued the pilot had to be towed in by a 'dozer.
Preppy, good (educated) guess. :)
You're welcome, JMD. I noticed they only show the actual lift & removal. Hard to say how long all that took to set up.
When I fly, I prefer my planes land on the ground (or the water if so equiped). Forty feet up a tree? Not to my liking! (Though the pilot did, eventually, walk away? That makes it a good landing, no?)
joated, the plane didn't land, so much as it simply came to a halt. But the pilot did eventually get down, courtesy of a cherry-picker from the local electric company.

Fooled me, I was figuring bringing in a crane... :-)
I figured they would use a chopper.
That looked so easy, I am sure it wasn't. Thanks for the update.

Bet that was 'spensive, too.
I 'spect you're right, PH. Cost a pretty penny.
