Not this:
This.
A small aircraft crashed into a tree in Wasilla shortly after takeoff, troopers say.
Alaska State Troopers spokesman Timothy Despain says a small plane crash-landed in a tree near Meadow Lakes Drive just after taking off from a nearby airstrip. The plane is reportedly stuck nearly 30 feet off the ground.
The pilot was not injured during the crash, according to Despain, but was unable to exit the aircraft. Emergency responders were initially unable to use heavy equipment in the area because the ground was soft from breakup.
UPDATE: How did they get him down? The local electric co-op sent a boom truck. Good on ya, MEA!

Note to self. Bring rappelling gear in survival bag when flying in small aircraft.
And lots of rope....
Or at least a rope ladder. :)
Hopefully most of that'll buff out.
I'm not so sure, ML; looks to me like the starboard wing is bent. But then I'm no airframe mechanic.
I see serious sums of money being spent.
Rev. Paul,

Air Plane, needs balloons, lol
WSF & Sandy, you're both right. :)
Oopsie... and yeah, ROPE, bring rope...

Um... wow. That's amazing. Y'all have strong trees up there. LOL.
Oh yeah, I agree - rope and lots of it.
Hadn't thought about the trees being so strong, but ... yes. On both counts!
NO way!
Gotta show this pix to my hubby :)
'Fraid so, Cathy. :)
Whoa! But still better than some of the recent wrecks...
True enough, PH - it sure beats the alternative.
