A Word About Progressives
“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to
permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these
organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed
agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they
themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?”

A - MEN!

gfa, it's clear they DO think they're better & smarter than the rest of us.
Unfortunately, the misery they've already created puts the lie to that myth.
I think they were made out of the clay found in a pig mire.
Matt, I personally think even less of their philosophy. To quote Romans 1:22 a bit out of context, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools..."
Ya, know... I went back and read the passage in context and the progressives fall flat in the middle of the text itself. The things these people come up with fit with what is found in the context.
Then read Matthew 7:20
Great job on that.
Agreed, Matt. I always preface a partial quote with the caveat about it being out of context - a couple of rabid trolls start sending me nastygrams otherwise, and I get tired of deleting all the e-mails & remarks.
Rev Paul, I am sure you know the answer to how they view themselves.
Even Henry Kissinger called the rest of us "worthless eaters".
JMD, I'm aware of their attitude; they're pretty full of themselves.
Never heard that quote or of that man.
Wiser words were rarely spoken.
Cathy - as long as you learned something, then my job is done. :)
LOL!
