I *Think* That Was in English ...

I was just asked if I'm still a notarary republic.  I almost replied, "Nope, never have been."

There's a line in My Fair Lady, in the song "Why Can't the English Learn to Speak?", where a character follows that question with "In America, they haven't spoken it in years."

Word.

As Earl Potts would say, "We speak 'Merican here."

Cathy, you're welcome. :)

NFO, I could tell the caller was struggling to remember the words, but ... wow.

'Word'
REALLY?
I don't know what's worse in today's world, Ebonics or geekspeak?

Whenever someone says OUT LOUD 'LOL' or 'irregardless', I become concerned.
'Suposably' really bothers me!
Or "Are you coming with?'. minus the 'me'.

Word.

Guffaw, I agree with you on all counts (and probably others). I was trying to be clever. Obviously, it didn't work; however, I was mainly referring to the caller's turning five syllables into eight. :)
