After Last Night's Announcement ...

... this comes to mind:

"Whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force."
~ Thomas Jefferson

Since an unconstitutional act is "void and of no force", it is incumbent upon federal employees, the States, and the people to ignore it.

Is that clear enough?

Rev. Paul. I'm really struggling today. The title and first paragraph of the lead WSJ editorial was so disturbing. I left a comment under Peggy Noonan's column and said: "What can one person do . . ?"

The reply to my query was:

"Pray."

Cathy, no army in history has ever been more powerful than sincere Christians on their knees.

It's good advice.

Amen.

Holder just today told law enforcement to "behave themselves." Bracing myself here in Arizona. Bit close if you know what I mean.

Rev. Paul said...

If I were still in law enforcement, I'd interpret "behave yourselves" to mean "do your sworn duty".

Yes, you're very close to the front lines. Take care.

Rev Paul, I am confident that is exactly what Sheriff Arpaio plans on attempting to do.

Yes, he's one of the truly good guys.

On the up side, this will be a good opportunity to see which Republicans in Congress need to find a new job next election. I have some ideas of who already, but we'll see who else.

PH, that's true enough, but I begin to wonder whether - by then - it will still matter.

Plenty clear to me, but how many of those you mentioned will have the courage to do something about it?

Jim, that's the unclear part, but probably not enough.
