Since the Weather Outside is Dreary

Let's re-visit the annual "Galway Days" from a warmer season in downtown Anchorage, shall we?

souvenir glasses
Celtic Treasures' booth

I missed this band's name, but they were good, and had people tapping their feet
a plaque in a sidewalk shop
Grocery items for the discerning Irish chef
a street vendor with his wares
The Paddywhackers
One of the Guinness faeries at Darwin's Theory Pub
Pipes and drums
The Cake Studio (and my omni-present Hawaiian shirt, reflected in the window)
Cupcakes, pastries, and coffee

You'll want to turn the volume down a wee bit

Sigh. You are making me miss the big Celtic festival that we went to for years. Such a great way to spend a day outside. And then it just went belly up.

PH, there's this street gathering, and then there are the annual Highland Games just up the road in Eagle River (16 miles north of Anchorage).

Aye, 'tis a good day to be Scots-Irish. :)
