Yeah, but I actually DO have work to do... sigh

I know, NFO, and so do I. It's the meeting planners who haven't anything productive to contribute. :)

Many are improv theater with poor actors.

WSF, not a bad description. Even when scripted, most do a poor job of running things.

I was convinced our 'management' read 'Management Monthly' (or some such thing), then took whatever cockamamie idea they had that month and implemented it.
One month it was Meetings.
Suddenly we had weekly meetings, largely for no good reason.
They said it was for communication, but it only ran downhill...

I hear ya, gfa. At the Big Investment Firm for which I worked in St. Louis, they went from two meetings weekly to two meeting PER DAY.

I called it "analysis paralysis" in front of the boss, which didn't make him very happy. Heh.

I hated it when we got Oracle Calendar. My boss was very good at inputting all the meetings and since it sends out an email reminder I couldn't use "I forgot" as an excuse for missing them anymore.

Agreed, PH: meeting software is nearly more abominable than the meetings themselves.
