Regarding
ANWR: a new pipeline across Alaska isn't required since the location
for drilling in ANWR is about 160 miles from the North Slope Prudhoe
Bay pipeline where it would be connected.
Second, the wildlife love the pipeline since it is heated and provides a shelter during the worst times during the winter. Maybe another question should be asked.

FIRST do you know what ANWR is?
ANWR is the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
ANWR is the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
NOTE WHERE THE PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT AREA IS
DEVELOPMENT AREA IS
(it's in the "ANWR Coastal Plain")
This is what the Democrats, liberals, Progressives, and "Green"
show you when they talk about ANWR -
show you when they talk about ANWR -
Isn't it beautiful? "Why should we drill here (and destroy) this beautiful place?" they ask.
THAT'S NOT EXACTLY THE TRUTH.
In fact, it's a deliberate lie. Do you remember the map? The map showed that the proposed drilling area is in the ANWR coastal plain. Do the photographs, above, look like a coastal plain to you?

What's
going on here? The answer is simple - if you know what the coastal
plain really is, you won't oppose the exploration for oil ... and they
know it.
This is what the proposed exploration area
ACTUALLY looks like in the winter:
As you can see, the area where they are talking about drilling is a barren wasteland. Brackish swamp and tundra. Oh, and they say that they are concerned about the effect on the local wildlife.
Yeah, right.
Here is a summer photo of the poor, "depleted wildlife" situation created by drilling around Prudhoe Bay. Don’t you think that the caribou really hate that drilling?
*The Prudhoe Bay oilfield accounts for 17% of U.S. Domestic oil production
Well, Al Gore, the enviro-weenies and the Democrats nearly reached their goal.
But now that you know that they're lying, what are you going to do about it?

Ignore all you subsistence hunting aborigines who are too uneducated to know what is good for you.
I'm shocked, SHOCKED!
What maroons these greenies be!
Brought to you by the same folks who don't want us drilling off our own shores - but allow Brazil to...
For the benefit of George Soros.
gfa
WSF - you're right; how dare we insist on controlling our own property.
Guffaw - it always comes down to money & power, doesn't it?
Padre, we should all know that the above named people lie, why?? Because their are very little people living in that area to dispute that claim. beside look who is the biggest lair in D,C,
Yes, Rob, that's true. And if the fedgov allows BP/Shell/Conoco Phillips/whoever to drill there, it'll be tougher to give ANWR to the Chinese as part of our debt payment.
Can't do anything more than I already do and that's fighting anything Femocrats want :)
Cause we can't legally shoot em....yet.
Lying is what these leftist progressive commies do, don't ya know. They just know that we are all too stupid to notice.
Pathetic bastards
Preppy, I sincerely hope it never comes to that - but it won't surprise me much if it does.
Tewshooz, it's their nature to lie; the truth is not in them.
This was a very informative post.
Thank you.
As for the motivations of those on the left:
Dark. Very Dark.
You're welcome, Cathy. And as to your second point: yes, indeed.
I just wonder what the bear is doing up on the pipeline? Those carabu look real upset at the drilling
Corey, given the way the pipeline runs underground except where elevated to avoid melting the permafrost, I'd guess the bear climbed up & is looking for a way off. :)
And yeah, the caribou herd is now several times larger than it used to be. Seems the pipeline doesn't bother them at all.
The Democrats and Republicans, can not even pass a balanced a budget each year; without threating to shut down the government, and other city offices for an undisclosed amount of time.
How can we trust anyone on the Hill, including the liberals, to do what's right for the American people? Especially since they haven't done that in such a long time.
My husband worked for the civil service, after he retired from the Air force. For three years he wasn't given any kind of raise, or promotion, and let's not forget the time that was taken away from him and his fellow workers without pay...so the government could balance their budget. I felt like they were taking too much from the civil workers...and didn't even care what families were going through.
I learned a lot the first three years we lived here.
Welcome, Beth. I agree with everything you've said. The short answer is, we can't trust them: they haven't been trustworthy in a very long time.
Rev. Paul,
We can't trust any of them!
Great post my friend.
