Friday's Words of Wisdom

"It is sobering to reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence."

~~ Charles A. Beard, chief information officer and senior vice president for Science Applications International Corp.

Rev. Paul,

It's a shame, a true shame where this beautiful country is heading.

Just listening to The Fox All -Star panel talking about the IRS and its power and intrusiveness and government plans to control the internet with "Net neutrality." Scary.

It is, Cathy. Quite.

Well, to be honest, our Founding Fathers had a reputation as dangerous citizens by the people in power at the time. Events that occurred from 1775 to 1783 proved that they were in fact dangerous to the people that were abusing their power to govern.
Throughout history, bad things have happened to people in power who forget about that little phrase "consent of the governed". I'm very afraid we're going to experience another period of reminding.
