"How exotic," you might think. "How beautiful and exciting!" And it can be all that.
But right now, I'm in a chair outside the fitting rooms at a HUGE Macy's, while my lovely wife tries on in excess of a dozen outfits.
"Exotic" doesn't quite cover it.
Sometimes it's not where you are; it's what you're doing.

My dad would always bring a book to read while mom was trying on clothes. Or he went to the book store.
The Kindle is my friend. :)
I do not understand vacation=shopping. But then I hate shopping and live in t-shirts and jeans.
But the Hawaii Macy's are so much better than the Alaska ones!
PH - my wife wants to wear clothes that aren't already in every other closet in Anchorage.
Ed - that's a fact. Anchorage is at the tsil end of the supply chain. What we get is frequently last year's leftovers.
Shopping, the delight of some, the bane of many. lol
Ed stole my thunder! :-)

Rev. Paul,
So do they have a Bass Pro Shop or a Cabela's there?? If they do, I bet you could say Hawaii has stuff the Alaska store doesn't have.
Ed, I should also mention that there is no Macy's in Alaska.
Threecollie, she buys most of her clothes here. At least she's not wearing the same things as everyone else. :)
Guffaw, same thing I said to Ed. Heh.
Sandy those companies aren't in Hawaii ... but I get your drift.
