Thousands of people turned out Saturday to the 18th Annual Alaska Aviation Gathering that was held in the FedEx maintenance hangar near Ted Stevens International Airport. Families had a chance to see planes, helicopters and some of the newest technologies that keep aviators safe in the skies. The event draws more than 20,000 people each year.
