Since we're originally from Missouri, Bass Pro doesn't seem like such a stretch ... but they just don't quite have the grasp of what's needed here. Cabela's gets it, but of course they've been supplying Alaskans for a long time. :)
NFO, tell me about it. Until a year ago, all we had was locally-owned sporting goods stores, Wally World, and Sportsman's Warehouse. Now we're awash in big box stores ... and NOBODY is complaining. :)
Guffaw, Cabela's has been shipping truckloads of mail-order stuff to Alaskans since ... well, forever. Now I just have to drive two miles, and there it is!

I'm still trying to get over the branding dissonance of a "Bass Pro Shop" in Alaska. Cabelas lacks that particular problem.

LOL, that is just strange to see that... :-) For years all you could do was mail order!
