Well by 1940 the Interbellum generation were the ones in charge although the mass of soldiers indeed were Greatest generation they were not the ones calling the shots. The greatest generation get's credit for Korea and Vietnam IMO.

They also sacrificed their children on the altars of the Multi-Cult and Feminism and began the great government growth cancer we see today. Complete with million dollar pensions and all. Of which the early Boomers were only too happy to continue while passing the bill on to generation X through Millennials. We owe the late Greatest generation and the Boomers such social justice movements as Affirmative Action, Community reinvestment, massive welfare and the first national gin control acts along with medicaid, medicare, HUD, departments of education, women's health and the EPA.

All of which just passed the buck after they got theirs I might add.

They may have saved us from Hitler and Tito a sacrifice I applaud them for but they turned us over to Gloria Stienem, Sotomayor, Obama and HIllary. Not sure it was actually a win in the long run.

Thanks, Vicki.

Preppy, I understand your points. I've long wished my grandmother would have been a bit more honest with us, and told us about FDR and the Progressives.

Preppy.
Not all.
That's a disparaging broad brush that is undeserved.
In fact it's a distortion of motivation.
They sacrificed much, but to say they sacrificed their children (my dad did not sacrifice me) is an insult to a number of decent patriotic human beings.
I wonder how you measure up.

Well since the discussion (and video) was about entire generations with a broad brush my comment was about entire generations with a broad brush.

Since not one single thing I mentioned above benefits my particular Gender or racial makeup and I was too young to be grandfathered in like the Greatest, Silent and Boomer generations already were when they started changing the rules and giving away everything, not sure what measure you want to use to take this to a personal level.

Fire away though if you want. Only thing Generation X on got was the bill and we ain't done paying it yet. That includes the Y's, Millennials and Nexters.

Maybe its time to stop squabbling about who did what to whom, and note well what Wild Bill says at the end. Christians can not remain silent, but must start bluntly speaking the truth. Yes, you will be called names by those who don't want to hear it. And we must always check our motives before speaking, and say it with love in our hearts, but speak the truth.
