Our older daughter's long-time pet had to be put to sleep last night. They were constant companions for nearly half her life, and it's tough. She's taking it rather hard, which is only normal.
She's a tough young lady, but has a tender heart. I don't want to be maudlin, and won't dwell on it, here. Our concern is for her right now.
There's plenty of fresh material on the sidebar, and lots of good folks have interesting, thought-provoking things to say. Check them out. :)
Thanks for stopping by, friends. I'll be back later.

Rev. Paul,
Please give your daughter a big hug from some Oklahoma friends.
Sending prayers her way.
Thanks, Sandy.
I'm sorry. It is never easy to say goodby. Keeping your family in thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, Vicki.
Hugs. They are our friends, not "just" animals.
I had to put down two cats this year, one 19 and one 13, I can be devastating, especially after all those years of companionship, its tough........
Losing pets is the worst!
Please tell her we are thinking of her...

PH, you're right - and those two were inseparable.
angrymike, devastating is the right word.
Guffaw, agreed - and will do.
Sorry for your family's loss.
Thank you, Ed.
Really, really sorry to hear this. There are few things that hurt more.
Thank you, ML. Everyone has been very kind.
I'm so sorry for you all. It's so darn tough. It's why we don't currently have a dog. Too dang tough - these goodbyes. Hope she's doing better. God bless her.
Thanks, Cathy; she's doing okay, and the surviving cat has been cuddling with her, which helps.
