Thanks. The houses across the street will be visible in winter, when the leaves are down, but not when we're seated in the living room. Our place is on a rise, so we have a bit of elevation on our side. :)

Luck of draw? Clean living? Random weather patterns?
We are lucky in that though we are in the middle of a VERY big city, we have a wide lot on which someone 60 years ago planted a bunch of spruces. We can't see the neighbors. One of the spruces had to be taken down last week and the others will likely die off over the next 20 years (they are prone to issues up here) so we've planted a whole bunch of new ones. I love our neighbors - they are both the nicest folks, a widow my age on one side, newly retired teacher and Navy Vet (also a teacher) on the other - I just don't want to look at their houses.
You have a beautiful home, savor every minute.
I'd live on that deck! Just imagine sitting there and watching the northern lights!
Brigid - we're still unpacking, but finally sat down for awhile last night, just to relax and look around. It's truly a gorgeous setting, but we're hip-deep in boxes right now. It'll get better soon. :)
Chickenmom, that's something we're looking forward to. We're above the city lights, and far enough away that there won't be much glare.

Great view, I'm thinking a nice couple of chairs and coffee out on the deck in the early morning would make for a great start to one's work day.
