Roadblocks, Alaskan Style

Yesterday morning, we were headed out to do some shopping, but had to turn back and take a different route down the mountain. The road was blocked, you see.

We decided to let Mama and her twin calves have the right of way. :)

After all the shopping and chores, we headed out to the deck for some relaxation in our new digs:

What a wonderful way to relax! I bet the night sky is truly amazing to see!

Chickenmom, it's so incredibly relaxing that we're still pinching ourselves. Regarding that night sky ... we won't see a night sky until sometime in late July or early August. The sun doesn't go down, this time of year.

I've been on the run for the last month, and completely missed your move. So, allow me to offer my congratulations, if but a little late.

Thank you, sir - no worries. :)

Is it inappropriate for me to mention how insanely jealous I am of you?

Ed, I'd certainly understand. I haven't talked about it in quite a long while, but this is our reward for all that we surrendered to be obedient when we moved to Alaska. It was worth waiting for.
