A Word About The "Life Speaking in Outdoor Voice" Post

First, thank you all for your concern, kind thoughts, and especially your prayers.

Short version: Younger Daughter was in a traffic accident which effectively totaled her new car. But it did its job, and the crumple zones and multiple air bags enabled her to walk away with only bruises and sore spots.

We're awaiting word from the body shop as to whether the car can be rebuilt, or must be replaced. But she's okay, and all is well.

NOT her car, but a very close approximation of what hers looked like on Tuesday.

Oh my goodness! Lets all thank her Guardian Angel for keeping her from serious harm.

When I worked in the body shop at GM as a welder maintenance tech, we got a thank you letter from the owner of a Bonneville (which we built at the time).
He was going down the expressway, about 60mph, in the middle of the night and slammed into a parked dumptruck someone had abandoned in the middle of the road.
He got out of the car unaided. Everything accordioned right up to the firewall.
Engine and drive train went under the vehicle.
I'm glad your girl is OK.
Thank you Jesus.

Rev. Paul - i am sorry to hear of your daughter's accident but very glad to hear that she came out of it unharmed. my only worry is that she might be experiencing some shock from the accident. keep your eyes on her. and let her know that after going through a traumatic experience that it is normal to feel shock, feel on edge and nervous.

I am glad she is okay. Having been through similar twice so far this year I can imagine how you must all feel.

Make sure she takes it easy for a while. Accident issues can take time to show up....Ralph's daughter had an accident she walked away from but she hurt her neck. It did not bother her right away. Do take care and God Bless you all

Thank you again, everyone. She's okay, and that's the only thing that matters. :)

Phew! It doesn't matter how old they are we still freak out when we get that kind of call from our babies.

You're so right, PH. "Dad, I need help", in a quavering voice, still brings my heart into my throat.

Dang!

Glad your daughter's okay. That could have been bad!

Glad she is okay! Cars are replaceable, daughters not so much.

Sarge & NFO - thank you. I concur on all points!

*HUGS* to you and your wife, and thanks be unto G-d that your daughter's okay. Cars are just things, and things break; people are irreplaceable.

May you have a quiet, uneventful, and boring week, all three of you, enough to catch your breath and mental balance.

Thank you, Wing. From you mouth to G-d's ears, as they say.
