Word for the Day

Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom? Here’s what you do: Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It’s the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts. Mean-spirited ambition isn’t wisdom. Boasting that you are wise isn’t wisdom. Twisting the truth to make yourselves sound wise isn’t wisdom. It’s the furthest thing from wisdom—it’s animal cunning, devilish conniving. Whenever you’re trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others’ throats.

~ James 3:13 MSG

(It's a shame we can't convince political candidates of the wisdom found here.)

No Mention of the "Basket of Deplorables". What a mess the political scene is and it could be fixed if just one candidate spoke the truth [real truth] and stood their ground when needed to. Of course those candidates would never be elected by the people on the government take care of me bandwagon. A good leader does not have to make everyone happy, they have to do the things needed to be done and not fear loosing the next election. I apologize for ranting but it is so so sad!

NFO - agreed.

Guffaw - thank you.

Fiona - you rant all you like; sounds like you've nailed it.
