God's Word of the Day

God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
Psalm 23:1-3 MSG

You forgot a part..."Take this stress off of me, at lest until my son gets home"

Rob, that's the tricky part, for humans: to trust Him despite the worry and anxiety. It takes work & determination, and is a continuous "letting go" process.

With your lovely header picture I would have thought you would use one of my favorites from Psalms 121: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, My help cometh from the Lord.

Can you tell I grew up on top of a ridge and spent lots of time camping in the Adirondacks? :)

Suz, that's a good reference. Thank you. :)

TB, it's the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet, south/southeast of the Anchorage area. I'm glad you like it.

I always thought The Book of Psalms had some of the most beautiful and comforting writing in the entire Bible.

Thanks, Rev!
