The pilot and sole occupant of the small plane, 51-year-old Ronald Scott Hernandez of King Salmon, suffered minor injuries in the crash, troopers said.
Troopers in Talkeetna were told of an aircraft crash near Mile 89 of the Parks Highway, near Sheep Creek, around 4:10 p.m. Saturday.

Glad to hear the injuries were minor! Power lines can be nasty buggers.
By the way, love the new blog header.
You're right; it could have been a lot worse. And thanks!
I hope he feels blessed.
Linda, I'm pretty sure he does.
Alaska never fails to amaze me. What a photo! Glad all survived.
threecollie, I'll grant you it's not something we see every day. But in a place where there are still more small aircraft than cars (90% or more of the State is off of the road system), we probably see crashes more often than most other places. This pilot was very, very blessed.
One hopes the plane rolled and then flipped over. That would be a pretty intense crash head on...
I hope you're right, TB.
Glad he walked away!
Me too, NFO. I imagine he is, too. :)
Thinking that's not going to buff out.
It definitely left a mark or three.
