The Calendar Says It's June

but we're still having April weather.

It was 44 and raining when I left for work. AccuHunch guesses the temp will rocket - rocket, I say - all the way up to 50 today. With a 70 per cent chance of rain.

It's 70-percenting as I type this, so at least they got that part right.

Oh well, at least it was warm for a couple of hours last week ...

Such a weird spring! We went from forty to ninety in a week. Takes some getting used to.

I think it's fair to say that the body can't get used to such wide swings. One of the things we like about Alaska is that even a wild swing in temps is only 20 or 25 degrees. Usually. Either way, you have our sympathy.

If only we could change weather for a bit. I would love some 40 degree weather, in place of the 90 degree weather and 90% humidity. :)

Strangely enough, I'm hearing that comment from quite a few people, here & on the Book O' Faces. Go figure. :)

I've been off-line for a while.
Glad to see you're back - missed your pithiness and preaching

We are slowly working our way back up into summer temps - 90's and humidity. I cannot really complain -after all, it is almost June. Talking to my parents, they are supposed to skyrocket from the mid-70's to 108 by the weekend.

I do not know if rain works the same up your way, but in these parts when they say "70 % rain" it means that it will be raining somewhere in the area 70% of the time. Just maybe not here.

Thank you, Q - I'm glad you found me again.

TB - according to the talking heads, it means that 70% of the viewing area will get rain at some point during the day. Whatever. Meanwhile, y'all take care & stay cool down there. That's just too danged hot.

TB, that's the way it is here, too. Makes it hard to plan when to paint. It is cloudy today, so I suspect there is a good chance that we will get some today.

When asked what we do in the summer here in Maine, we reply that is depends on whether it falls on the weekend or not.

Not a fan of hot, humid weather such as we have had the last two days. Bring on fall and winter!

I hear you, ma'am. Never been a fan of hot weather, myself. Cool is always preferable. :)
