The Eclipse, From Alaska
What the eclipse looked like from Anchorage: just like every other day this summer.
I remember, one July 4 weekend, taking a very long trip out to the other side of the Cook Inlet and down the penninsula. The real reason was to fly until we ran out of overcast, and see the sun for the first time in weeks. The excuse was fish...
Wing, your solution is unavailable to us. We had 2 1/2 days of sunny weather, two weeks ago. On Sunday as it clouded up, my wife asked, "How was your summer?"

It was about that way here, too. About as dark as a good thunderstorm, but no rain. :-)
We had solid overcast, rain and fog.

Hope you get some sun soon!

They promised sun today; it was a lie.
