“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me."
John 14:23 MSG

Very true, though it confused me for a moment.
Thank you, Reverend. :-)
Reverend, I really like the first line. But now I am curious - I do not have anything like the first line in my translation. Am I missing it?
TB, it has to be read in context. In this translation:
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said, “Master, why is it that you are about to make yourself plain to us but not to the world?”
23 “Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world..."
The New King James reads:
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word..."
Oh, okay. That makes a great deal more sense. I guess I did not go far enough back. Very much still like the phrasing though.
