God's Word for Saturday, 10/21/17
Being religious, acting pious—that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen. So I answered, “I’m coming. I read in your letter what you wrote about me, And I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.” That’s when God’s Word entered my life, became part of my very being.

This one, I'm not sure. But I will look it up later.
And thank God that I can.
Thank you, Reverend.
Linda - from the King James translation:
"Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."
I think in this case, I prefer the King James version. Strange, because mostly the Message version seems easier to understand.
Your new icon makes it look cold. I remember parka days. :)
It was cold the day that was taken; the start of the Iditarod, a few years ago. Was between -5 and -10 that morning.
I have no problem whatsoever with anyone preferring one translation over another, as long as the translation is accurate. :) I use several, depending on the need at the time.
