Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”
I struggle with this, Reverend. I can think of one hundred ways such a thing could go wrong. At the same time, I cannot see any way to fix the rather sad current situation following the systems we currently have embedded in place.
TB, I can think of rather more than a hundred ways it could go wrong. And like Bill, I point to the many, many procedures already existent in the law for correcting the course. It's the evil in men's hearts that is the problem, and in that case, it is as John Adams said:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other."
I can see both sides of the argument. And what John Adams said is absolutely true. All the atheists who say they can be good without God; well, one look at our country proves that is not true.
Sad days, as we were told. And the worst is yet to come. I am sorry it is happening in my time, yet I am happy, too; and thank God for my salvation through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Wild Bill doesn't look too cold. Be safe, stay warm and have a blessed Thanksgiving, Reverend. :)
Linda, you've nailed their argument with unerring logic. :) Despite my frustration and occasional righteous anger at the shenanigans the Left trots out on a daily basis, it just confirms that our divine department is that much closer.
Wild Bill's in Florida, so I'm pretty sure he's warmer than we are. May your Thanksgiving be equally blessed & happy, Linda.

The problem, I suppose, is that the evil in hearts is a lot less likely to be resolved...
