Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”

Just a Little Kick in the Teeth
I found out on Tuesday afternoon that the company I work for has lost its contract to manage the property for which I'm a facilities manager.
So my last day is Sunday ... but hey, they gave me five whole days' notice, right?
Perhaps this is one of those 'door closes - window opens' kind of thing. I will be praying that God shows you what He has in mind for you next on this journey.
Carteach, that's been my experience as well. The contract was awarded to another local property mgt company, last Friday. But if someone doesn't shake a leg, they're going to inherit a very complicated medical facility with a large surgery center, and have NO IDEA how to operate the various systems & controls. Would be best if they'd keep me on, IMHO :), but I haven't heard from them. Yet.
Don't wait for them to contact you. Be "Johnny-on-the-spot" with your wealth of information and let them know you are willing and able to provide them with the service they need to be successful from the get-go. There is much to be said for being able to sell yourself and the knowledge you have amassed. Don't sell yourself short! JMHO!
These folks have the right idea; make sure the new company knows that you know how this building works, including the weak spots. And that can make the difference between profit and loss...
We know the AK economy is in a rough patch right now. Don't be modest :)
Don't have any advice not already given, but here's my hope you end up with a whole lot better salary and, if not the same building, an even better one!
Sorry I missed this. Been hard to keep up lately. But you did, at least, get 5 days notice and your friends have given you a wealth of information that should be helpful. :) At least you didn't show up, as I have seen happen, and find the doors locked with no explanation.
I expect God may have great things in store for the New Year. Stay warm and God bless, Reverend. :)

Sorry to hear it. Hope you're able to land on your feet pretty quick.
Vicki, that's my prayer as well. Thank you.
Thanks, Bob; I appreciate that.
I've seldom left a job without something better quickly coming along.
Faith.
And another thought.... who is picking up the contract? Is it possible they need a good man who already knows the details of the mission?

Rev Paul,
God has plan for you dear friend! Continue to hold the faith.
Sue, that's good advice. Thank you!
Sandy, of that I'm sure. :)
God has you.
Praying regardless.
Wow, and yes, be proactive... And don't short yourself!
+1 on the remarks.

Good luck!
Yes, by all means approach them.
I'm sure the Lord has your back!
Ah, no, that is just lousy. Sorry to read it.
All - sounds like solid advice, especially since everyone is sounding the same note. Thank you all very much - and thanks for the prayers, as well.

*hugs* We'll bend Upstairs's ear for you.

Thank you, Wing - I'll take all the prayers I can get. :)
