God's Word for Sunday, 1/28/18
"From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.”
I sometimes wonder if we grasp what a revolutionary concept that was - not just for the Samaritans but for the entire Ancient world. Worship was a thing you went to do at a particular place, not just anywhere.
I understand it to mean that we can worship anywhere, if you have the right heart. Even if it is an exuberant "Thank you, Lord!" :-) Which I think is what TB said?
Linda, the Jews of Jesus' day traveled to the temple in Jerusalem to find the presence of God, because that's where the Holy of Holies & the Ark of the Covenant resided. Because of the Holy Spirit, we Christians have God living on the inside of us. We needn't travel to find Him. :)

I believe that God as a sense of humor. How do I know?. Liberals are so stupid all you can do is laugh at them.
TB, I doubt that Western society understands what you've expressed. That all changed on the Day of Pentecost, of course.
Rob, the Bible says that God sits on His throne and laughs in derision at His enemies. Sense of humor? Sure, that's Who we get it from. :)
