I've been trying since 0700 to get this silly thing to work. Finally, at 1335, it seems to be perking along at its normal speed. Prior attempts made it run very slowly, and crash multiple times. I have no idea what the problem is/was, but I hope it doesn't re-surface.
Checking e-mails and such now; if yours is among them, my response will be somewhat delayed. But then, you already knew that.

Maybe it's not just you? We have been fighting computer issues here for the past few days. Hubby went out, spent money(!!), which tells you how bad things were here, bought a new antenna-thingy to go to the router, which appears to have worked. For now. And I need to break down, and go buy another battery for my laptop as this one is kaput again. Sigh. It works as long as I stay plugged in at the kitchen table, but I can't go curl up on the couch for more than 5 minutes before I run out of electrons.
Work has been slow, so I am being frugal and sitting at the kitchen table for now.
At least it is sunny outside!! :)
Suz, that thought had crossed my mind. Whatever it was, it has resolved itself ... for now. I have a laptop which I don't use anymore, but it's available just in case. (Its battery only holds a charge for 20 minutes, but it works fine as long as it's plugged in.)

Agreed, TB. Computers are great, until they're not; then they're an overpriced paperweight.
