Another Round of Winter

So after weeks of blue skies and sunshine, with single-digit highs and subzero lows, we got 3+" of snow overnight. AccuHunch predicts a warm-up with an ice/snow mix for the next 48 hours. 1" to 3" tonight, and another similar amount tomorrow. Naturally, it happens right before the Monday morning commute.

Fortunately, I'm no longer afflicted with that malady, but feel sorry for those who must survive it.

And before anyone starts with the "only 36 days (or whatever) until spring" meme, allow me to illustrate what the first day of Spring usually looks like, here:

Both of those vehicles are long gone, of course, but the struggle is real. :)

Highs have been in the low 20's, and lows have been around 12~14*.

Got a couple of inches of powder the other day, but it's been a very mild winter here.

We got dumped on.

NFO - I'm sure it's very much too cold for you; I know your tolerance leans to the warmer temps.

Jim - we've had similar experiences, this year.

Ed - when I saw Brigid's posts about getting 2 feet in the last couple of days, I knew your weather would be the same. Stay safe & warm, my friend.

We've been blessed with 6 or so inches of rain, I think, in the last two days. Standing water everywhere!
37 last night with a high of 46 today.
And they are predicting near 80 on Thursday!
The Louisiana nutria (haha!) predicted an early, long spring. Looks to be wet, too, if that is true. :-)

Glad you don't have that long commute any more.
May God keep everyone safe.
Stay warm, Reverend. :-)

Stay safe & dry, Linda, and thanks.

Rev Paul,

Looks like the typical spring for y'all. Stay warm when shoveling, and don't over do it!

Sandy, I cleared the drive yesterday morning. By dinnertime, the temp was rising, and all of the above-ground snow melted overnight. This morning it rained, and now it's getting colder again. A rain/snow/slush mix has been falling for a couple of hours.
