It is not the business of government to make men virtuous or religious, or to preserve the fool from the consequences of

Yes. Sadly, that train seems to have left the station a great while ago. I do not quite know what we could do for a reboot.
It may be that, with the help of Heaven, a righteous leader could put a firm hand on the tiller and steer us back toward what the Founders intended. Maybe.
