God's Word for Tuesday, 5/8/18

Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.
Colossians 4:5-6 (MSG)

Linda, remember that Jesus said to bless our enemies, and pray for those who despitefully use us. That certainly sounds like the self-appointed or elected "ruling class" to me.

It is a hard thing, Reverend. So often restraint and humility are mistaken for weakness.

I understand what you say, TB. But if Jesus could do it, then He made a way for us to do it, too. It's our assignment to emulate Him, and I believe He blesses the attempt.
