By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. “They looked all over and couldn’t find him because God had taken him.” We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken “he pleased God.” It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

That is one of the curiosities of the Bible, but it is not one I should question.
Thank you, Lord, for loving me. :-)
Good words! Thank you!
Linda, the Bible makes it clear that our Father in Heaven loves us very much. We can ask Him anything.
NFO, you're welcome.
Reverend, some have posited that Enoch is the second of the Two Witnesses in Revelations because he (unlike Moses but like Elijah) never died. Any considerations?
TB, some believe that Elijah & Enoch are the two witnesses, because Hebrews 9:27 says "And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this judgment" - and they are the only two mentioned by the Scriptures as having been taken directly to Heaven without first dying.
However, there are as many who believe they are NOT the two described in Revelation. Ultimately, we don't really know.
Which is kind where I ultimately ended up as well.
