No more third shift. Only three nights per week, but when I started, the days were back to back. Lately, they've been of the "Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday" variety. Since that turns my schedule upside down, I didn't think it was ideal for my part-time job to dominate 5 and 6 days of the week.
My request for an interdepartmental transfer was approved. I'm moving from night-time freight/stocking to daytime front end (i.e., cashier and customer service desk).
Mornings, in fact.
God is good, and I am a happy camper.

Fantastic news, Reverend! Praise God and God bless. :)
Happy Dance!
It is, Linda, and I'm ready! Thank you.
Indeed, Jim - I've been dancing ever since the transfer was approved last week. :)
Good deal. At first when I saw the post, my first thought was about riding the U.S. of the liberal LEFT...
Thanks, Rob. Regarding the ridding thereof, I'd have written a more-important sounding headline. Heh.
Good deal, late shifts are miserable.
YEA!!! I have worked nights, and rotating shifts...YUCK!!
And hopefully, dealing with customers in the morning will not be too stressful. Just being off nights would be a huge blessing for me...I am such a morning person. :)
Congrats!
threecollie, I really didn't mind the work itself, but midnight shift is a young man's game. While I'm not old, I'm no longer young, either.
Exactly, Suz. Thank you!
Great news Reverend. Daytime is the easier shift.
I had to do some later night work a couple of weeks ago. Brought back unhappy memories of watching things work at 0300. Ugh.
Thanks, TB. I've worked 3rd shift, and swing shift, when I was in my mid-20s. It wasn't this much of an issue, then. There's a big difference now, it seems, and it just hasn't been a good fit for me now.
