Linda, I understand. Some pastors/teachers may use other ways to explain what "faith" is, as some parishioners struggle to grasp the concept. One way a previous pastor used was "it's the title deed to what you're believing for." That'll do as well as any. :)
I have this very quote in front of me as I type.
TB, it's a good one. One of the best, in fact, for teaching that there's a substance called now faith which is used to form the things we ask for, from the Lord.
I've always read that word substance as underpinning. sub-stance.
The thing I rest on.
