Registration (Or Failure Thereof) Leads to Confiscation in South Africa
Just a snippet:
The effects of yesterday's ruling are far-reaching. It is estimated that there are at least 300 000 firearm owners who - either negligently or intently - failed to renew their firearm licences. These people will have to hand their firearms in at their nearest police stations, from where they will be destroyed.
And people wonder why Second Amendment activists are so determined. Well, wonder no more.

If it was tired here. It would be the war to end all wars. It would be like having the Revaluation, Civil War and much much more all at the same time.
Rob, you may be right. I suspect it would be more fragmented, with hot spots around major metropolitan areas. We've already seen gun owners in NY, CA & MA ignore registration and/or magazine laws. It remains to be seen whether they'd take a more active role if events go badly.
And watch the crime rate go UP!
Do you think that the SA Govmt is trying to get the guns so that the white landowners will be defenseless when they enact laws to confiscate their land? Sounds like there is an internal war brewing in South Africa. This is being compared to white landowners of once Native American lands in USA. Just saying...
NFO, I have no doubt whatsoever. "Off the charts" comes to mind.
Sue, that's quite probably true. They've been going that direction for some time, now.
Exactly.
Rhodesia.
Precisely, Ed. Thanks.
