Darrell Joseph Moore, 25, of Soldotna, allegedly "used the sword to strike a family member with intent to kill, and strangled the male, both of which caused fear of death," according to AST.

The condition of the victim is not currently known.

p.s. Soldotna is a small city about 100 miles south of Anchorage, on the Kenai Peninsula - Ed.

Crazy people.
I just read where more machetes are being used as weapons in England, where people can't have guns or knives...

I saw that article too, Linda. A machete attack every 90 minutes? Wow.

In an age of gunpowder, we forget. A sword is a very effective weapon, appropriately wielded. I am a mediocre swordsman at best and even my testing cutting surprises me sometimes.

TB, there's a reason why swords were the sidearm of choice for so many centuries. Only modern man considers them archaic and useless.
