Armed people are free. No state can control those who have the machinery and the will to resist, no mob can take their liberty and property. People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically "right." Guns ended that, and a social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work. – L. Neil Smith (from The Probability Broach)
Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any body of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. – Noah Webster
I am convinced that we can do to guns what we've done to drugs: create a multi-billion dollar underground market over which we have absolutely no control. – George L. Roman

The gun grabber's reasoning (or lack thereof) gives me a headache right on top of my head. The simple truth is: Take the guns = take the freedom.
All so true.
Vicki, that's the unvarnished truth of the matter. It's not about guns, as the grabbers don't care about guns. What they really want is power over the rest of us.
Agreed, Linda.
Imagine the problems that could be eased if the gun grabbers didn't spend so much effort on "gun control" and the 2nd Amendment defenders cold direct their efforts elsewhere.
Ironically, they know it's both technically and physically impossible to take the guns... sigh
Another round of good ones Reverend. Thank you!
WSF, true. It's an exercise in futility, and they know it. But it makes me wonder, what else are they doing while they keep the 2nd Amendment crowd chasing demons?
NFO, truth has never been a deterrent for the irrational crowd.
Thanks, TB.
