Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”

God's Word for Tuesday, 10/2/18
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
True enough, sir; fear of people can be debilitating. I would point out, however, that the word translated as "fear" of God actually means a reverential awe & respect.
So fear of people would be what your neighbors gossip about you, but fear of God...God can do much greater good and damage than neighbors gossip. I pay attention to trying my best on The Lord's good side. The neighbors come around to my side after a while.
Exactly, Suz, you've got it! And thank you for the kind words about the kind words about the header: that's looking southwest across the mouth of the Turnagain Arm where it meets Cook Inlet, a few miles south of Anchorage.
I, too, try to pay attention to what the Lord wants me to do. Some days are harder than others; but I think the Lord knows this and just... reminds me to listen harder?

Without a fear of God, all that is left is fear of people. And living in fear of people all the time is a terrible place to live.

I really like your header picture!

That is pretty evident today, I think.

Anyway, thank you for this post, Reverend.
You're welcome, Linda. :)
